It looks like Author Tomi Adeyemi had some drama brought directly to her doorstep recently. These days this isn't something you can just brush off as no big deal. To be honest, for Black people it has never been that. We've always known simply opening your door to a police officer could mean unwarranted trouble. The last few years it's been solidified that even complying with police can lead to you losing your life for no reason at all.
